NMU Percussive Attack Camp Registration Opens

Northern Michigan University’s music department is accepting registrations for its summer Percussive Attack Camp. The five-day percussion workshop is for musicians from middle school age through adults. It will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, through Friday, Aug. 7, at NMU. The camp will end with a Friday evening public performance in Reynolds Recital Hall.

Instructors Carrie Biolo and Shannon Whitehouse will help participants develop musicianship within the context of courses in experimental, improvisation, traditional chamber ensemble, rudimental and la poubelle. Tuition of $150 covers the cost of instruction, one pair of Vic Firth drum sticks and a Percussive Attack Camp t-shirt.
