NCLL Hosts Fall Color Tour to Fayette, Big Spring

The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will host a guided fall color trip to the Big Spring (Kitch-iti-Kipi) and Fayette Historic State Park. Fred Huffman of Marquette Country Tours will lead the tour, which includes a Dutch-treat lunch at the Upper Crust Café & Deli in Manistique and happy hour at the Nahma Inn, where participants may view the legendary old mill burner, a steam engine from the Nahma and Northern Railroad and the Michigan DNR boat launch.

The tour runs from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8. It costs $55 for NCLL members and $60 for non-members. Cost includes transportation, tour guide services and all admissions. Register by Thursday, Sept. 10, by calling 227-2979.
