NMU offers Science Olympiad Workshop for U.P. Teachers
MARQUETTE, Mich. — Upper Peninsula middle school and high school teachers are invited to attend a free U.P. Science Olympiad coaches’ workshop on Friday, Sept. 25. The Glenn T. Seaborg Mathematics and Science Center at Northern Michigan University will host the event from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. in room 2609 of the West Science Building.
Participating teachers will learn how to start a team, receive information on the annual Science Olympiad and related resources, and network with experienced coaches. Coffee and lunch will be provided.
Science Olympiad is a team competition program focusing on science education. This program is designed to increase student interest and test scores in science while strengthening their problem-solving and teamwork skills.
