Northern Michigan University’s mid-year commencement ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, in the Superior Dome. Of the 556 students eligible to graduate, 366 are expected to participate in the ceremony (343 undergraduates and 23 graduate students). The keynote speaker/honorary degree recipient is NMU alumnus Danny Pummill, acting under secretary for benefits in the Department of Veterans Affairs. The student speaker is Trevor Case of Chatham, Mich. and the student soloist is Lauren Larsen of Brighton, Mich.
