Sustainability Effort Forum, Meetings Scheduled

Thursday 17, 2016

More than 500 students, faculty and staff have responded to the survey that will help inform sustainability planning on campus. It is not too late to register input. The survey remains open through March 20 and can be completed in about 10 minutes here. Results will be revealed at a public forum from 9-10 a.m. Friday, April 8, in Jamrich 1322.

In advance of the forum, meetings are scheduled with students and employees who indicated on the survey their interest in working on campus sustainability issues. The student meeting will be held from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, in Jamrich 1322. The employees will meet from 12-12:50 p.m. Thursday, March 24, in Jamrich 3101.

"The goal of the survey and these meetings is to figure out a strategy for coordinating sustainability initiatives on campus, and working to promote Northern’s reputation as a leader in sustainability, which is one of strategies outlined in our new strategic plan," said Sarah Mittlefehldt, NMU professor.
