Infrastructure Commission Holds Listening Session at NMU
Friday 19, 2016
Michigan's 21st Century Infrastructure Commission held an Upper Peninsula listening session at NMU on Friday. Gov. Rick Snyder, who created the commission, addressed participants before they broke into small discussion groups to address a series of questions related to infrastructure needs.
The commission is charged with identifying strategic best practices to modernize Michigan’s transportation, water and sewer, energy, and communications infrastructure over the next 30-50 years. Gavin Leach, vice president for finance and administration at NMU, is the only U.P. representative on the commission.
