Beaumier Coffee House Season Begins Sept. 10

Tuesday 30, 2016

The Beaumier Coffee House Series kicks off the 2016-2017 season with performances by singer/songwriter Dave Bett and the experimental group, Radio On. The concert begins at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Black Box Theatre in NMU's McClintock Building. The suggested donation is $5 for adults and $1 for students.  Refreshments will be served.

A veteran of several musical groups in Marquette, most notably The Feltliners, Bett is one of the most recognized guitar players and singer/songwriters in the region. He has performed on the main stage and workshop stage at the Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival.  Bett will perform a concert of his original songs.

Radio On creates an experimental sound of electric landscapes, using original poetry from group members and electric guitars, flute and keyboard. But, in a folkier, old vinyl kind of vibe, Radio On also honors Levon Helm and Rick Danko in a song cycle. The group features Russ Thorburn, Dylan Trost and Jeremy Morelock.
