Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center Expands Hours

The Beaumier Alumni Welcome and U.P. Heritage Center at Northern Michigan University has expanded hours this semester, including evening hours on Thursdays. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Friday; 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. It is closed on Sundays. 

The Beaumier Center remains open to the public with free admission. It is located on the corner of 7th Street and Tracy Avenue at NMU, across from the Hedgcock building The current main gallery exhibit, through Sept. 10, is "Made in Da U.P.," featuring companies past and present that make products for export outside of the Upper Peninsula.  A new display titled “Remnants: Ghost Towns of the Upper Peninsula” will open Sept. 24. There are also displays on the history of student life at NMU.
