Olson Library Showcases Faculty and Staff Art
The inaugural NMU faculty and staff juried art exhibit at Olson Library is on display in the atrium through Oct. 15. A closing reception with hors d’oeuvres and light refreshments will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13. The exhibit features works by 12 faculty and staff members from various campus offices and departments.
Media used by the artists for the 20 selected pieces include graphite on paper, acrylic and watercolor paintings, stained glass, paper mache with a cardboard framework, metallic and digital inkjet prints, photo transfers on ceramic tiles, tinted acrylic on polyester film layers and photography.
Faculty and staff members featured are: Krista Clumpner from AIS/Library; Harry Whitaker from Psychology; Esko Alisimi from Plant Operations; Gloria Alexander from Registration and Scheduling; Kay Mandersheid from Admissions; Tod Poirier from the Learning Resources Division; Jennifer Quartararo and Russell Prather from English; and Daric Christian, Taimur Cleary, Steven Hughes and Tracy Wascom from Art and Design.
