Fellow Flowers Alumni Profiled in Magazine

Friday 30, 2016

The October issue of Women’s Running magazine highlights the work of three NMU alumni, not one. Tori Sager and Mel Charbonneau, founders of the Fellow Flowers running community, are featured in an article within the magazine titled "Women Who Are Changing the Game." And as previously reported, photographer James Farrell shot the issue's groundbreaking cover subject.

According to their website, since Sager and Charbonneau started Fellow Flowers in 2012, more than 25,000 women have joined the movement worldwide. Their mission was to “create a space where women could honor, share and celebrate the reasons why they put one foot in front of the other, in running and also in life.” Those who join wear a flower in races to signify why they run. There are 12 flower colors, each representing a different purpose. For more information, visit fellowflowers.com.
