Lindala, Puncochar Join HLC Peer Review Corps
April Lindala, director of the Center for Native American Studies and Judy Puncochar, professor in the School of Education, Leadership and Public Service, have been accepted to the Higher Learning Commission’s Peer Review Corps. The chair of the AQIP Comprehensive Quality Review Team invited both to apply for peer reviewer positions during NMU’s site visit in March.
"Representatives from the team were highly impressed with the assessment of student learning expertise that Ms. Lindala and Dr. Puncochar have been providing to our campus," said Kim Barron, director of Institutional Accreditation and Assessment. "As peer reviewers, they now will have the opportunity to share their expertise with other colleges and universities in the 19 states for which the Higher Learning Commission provides oversight. I sincerely appreciate their dedication to the assessment of NMU students’ learning. Their service to the Higher Learning Commission will not only benefit other institutions, but NMU as well."
