Daniel Handler, aka Lemony Snicket, to Speak at NMU

Author Daniel Handler, who wrote A Series of Unfortunate Events and All the Wrong Questions under his pen name, Lemony Snicket, will give a presentation at Northern Michigan University. This NMU Platform Personalities event will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, in 1100 Jamrich Hall. Admission is free for NMU students with ID and $2 for the public.

Handler is an American writer, musician and journalist. He is the author of six novels under his own name. His latest, All the Dirty Parts, was released in August. His books have sold more than 70 million copies, been translated into 40 languages and been adapted for screen and stage. Handler serves as an executive producer and writer for the A Series of Unfortunate Events Netflix series. His first play, Imaginary Comforts, or The Story of the Ghost of the Dead Rabbit, will be produced this fall at Berkeley Repertory Theatre.

Doors open at 7:15 p.m. for students and 7:30 for the general public.
