Two former NMU Nordic skiers placed first and third in their respective races Feb. 24 at the American Birkebeiner, a 50k point-to-point course from Cable to Hayward, Wis. Caitlin (Compton) Gregg (BFA 2004) claimed her record-setting fifth title in the elite women's skate race. The former Olympian and NMU Sports Hall of Famer competes for the Central Cross Country (CXC) Team, Loppet Nordic Racing and Team Gregg.
