'Poetry Without Borders' Event at NMU
Friday 23, 2018
The Northern Michigan University President’s Committee on Diversity will host a poetry reading from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, in the Olson Library Atrium. This free event, titled “Poetry Without Borders," is part of the NMU Diversity Common Reader program.
“Poetry Without Borders” celebrates World LanguagesWeek and each piece of poetry performed will be read in a foreign language.
NMU's Diversity Common Reader Program is a semester-long initiative focused on exposing a new cultural or ethnic idea at a campus-wide level. The campus community is invited to participate in discussions with the author or other notable speakers visiting campus, and to participate in related events promoting diversity.
