NCLL Tours Superior Extrusion
Please note the April 3 registration deadline.
The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will host a tour of Superior Extrusion’s plant, which is located at K.I. Sawyer near Gwinn, Mich. It will be held from 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, April 10.
Attendees will see the aluminum extrusion process, which Plant Manager Dennis Boyle describes as “two gigantic Play-Doh-type machines.” Those attending are encouraged to wear sturdy footwear as they will walk and stand during the tour. Protective gear will be provided.
Attendees will meet at the northwest corner of the Econo Foods parking lot in Marquette to load the bus that will take them to Superior Extrusion. The cost is $3 for NCLL members and $8 for non-members, plus a $1 bus driver fee. Register by Tuesday, April 3, by calling 227-2979. Call Carole Bard at 228-9367 for more information.
