Helicopter Display Held at NMU

Thursday 26, 2018

Two Michigan Army National Guard helicopters—a UH-60M Black Hawk and a CH-47F Chinook—made successful landings on NMU's campus Thursday and drew area residents eager to see them up close. The aircraft were on a static display for the public on the NMU recreational fields at the corner of Wright and Lincoln Streets before current military members and cadets in NMU’s Wildcat Battalion ROTC program participated in orientation flights. As in years past, the Michigan Army National Guard conducted the visit as an aviation officer orientation and recruiting event.
