New Mural Revealed
The recently updated Harden Hall features a collaborative mural by graphic design and ecology student Sydney Kuipers, who was "super-inspired by the aquatic and semi-aquatic animals that live in the U.P.
The recently updated Harden Hall features a collaborative mural by graphic design and ecology student Sydney Kuipers, who was "super-inspired by the aquatic and semi-aquatic animals that live in the U.P. I talked to a couple of my friends who work in the fish labs and a couple of my professors about specific species of fish I should use, as well as the other animals.” Many campus and community members helped paint the mural. The project was initiated and coordinated by mechanical engineering tech major Vann Squier through the Student Leader Fellowship Program. After prepping the outline of the mural, painting sessions were open to the campus and broader community for participants to help paint the mural color-by-number style.
