Personal Protective Equipment
Personal Protective Equipment, commonly referred to as "PPE", is equipment worn to minimize exposure to a variety of hazards. Examples of PPE include such items as gloves, foot and eye protection, protective hearing devices (earplugs, muffs), hard hats, respirators and full body suits.
The University PPE Policy applies to all employees of the University including faculty, staff, students, seasonal, temporary, part-time employees and casual labor. It also applies to all students currently enrolled in courses or performing assignments where PPE is required.
