Come to any one of these meetings for more information and to meet the leaders and fellow travelers (all meetings at 5:00pm in 249 Gries Hall - the History Lounge):

If you cannot attend, you can also meet with us individually!

Once you have decided to go, you will be regularly updated on all orientation meetings where we discuss the details and get to know each other.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Application!

  • Early Bird Applications are due 31 October. Remember - applying does not commit you but it allows the IPO time to process the applications. Keep in mind, even if they have received your application, if you are a freshman you have to wait for full review until after the semester ends so that you have an NMU GPA.
  • Even if you do not have all the information requested (passport number, NMU GPA, NMU IN, NMU email), complete the rest of the form and submit it; we can add additional information later.
  • Once the IPO has approved your application, the program leaders conduct a final review. Space is limited, so it is best to abide by the time lines, apply early, and make your initial deposit on schedule.
  • If the Program is oversubscribed (15+), the IPO will set up a ranked waitlist.

The payment schedule is set once a final budget has been approved. After your application has been accepted, the IPO will provide you a deposit slip (see "Costs").

  • Nov 15:  $1,000 (includes $150 non-refundable Study Abroad fee)
  • Jan 31:  $1,000
  • Mar 31:  $1,000 (final payment may vary slightly)

  • We will meet you at the airport on Saturday, 9 May
    • We will have your room keys and Vienna public transportation pass waiting for you
  • If you arrive differently, meet us at the apartment (see "Getting to the Apartment" under Getting to Vienna and Passports):

  • We will have a hearty dinner together in the city in the evening
