Robert Goodrich
Professor Goodrich created the Vienna Program in 2001 with Prof Carol Strauss (retired) from the German department. His academic specialty is modern German history, but his recent research has focused on Austro-Hungarian emigration before World War One. He has spent much of his professional life living and working in German-speaking Europe. With years of living in Austria and his German fluency, he now enjoys exploring Vienna and its environs with students. As one program veteran put it, "His animated passion is nothing if not infectious. He is equal parts historian, tour guide, and entertainer."
