Amalea is a Senior Consulting Director in Advisory Solutions at Vizient, Inc., a member-driven healthcare performance improvement company. She currently serves on the board of the Colorado Healthcare Strategy and Management organization, is a leader of one of Vizient's Employee Networks, and volunteers with several local community organizations. Amalea earned her bachelor's degree in public relations and business administration in 2002 and her master's degree in healthcare leadership from the University of Denver in 2011. While at NMU, she was a member of the Student Leader Fellowship Program and compete on the NCAA Swim & Dive Team, serving as team captain in 2001.
"My time at NMU profoundly shaped the life I lead today. I deeply value the lessons I gained - both in the classroom and through the experiences that extended far beyond it. Northern, along with the city of Marquette, will always hold a special place in my heart. Though my journey has taken me far from campus and Michigan, I'm grateful to stay connected through the Alumni Association Board. This role gives me the chance to give back to the university that shaped me and to form new, meaningful connections with fellow alumni who share the same Northern spirit."
