About the NMU Alumni Advisory Board
Alumni Advisory Board members play a vital role in shaping the future of NMU by offering strategic insight, industry expertise, and a strong commitment to student success. These volunteers bring a unique perspective and a passion to provide strong leadership for alumni programs and activities in collaboration with the university and the NMU community.
Any submitted applications will be considered for the 2026-2027 term.
The Alumni Advisory Board members embody leadership, service, and a passion for NMU.
They include:
- Industry leaders across sectors such as business, healthcare, technology, education, the arts, and athletics.
- Diversity and inclusion advocates who bring broad perspectives and foster a welcoming, representative community.
- Innovators and changemakers who inspire forward-thinking initiatives aligned with NMU’s growth.
- Alumni with a strong connection to NMU through past involvement, volunteerism, or mentorship.
- Networkers and advocates who can open doors for partnerships, student recruitment, and philanthropy.
- Individuals committed to student success through mentoring, internships, and career development.
- Alumni willing to actively serve, participate in meetings, and support ongoing committee work.
- Those with expertise in fundraising, university governance, marketing, and community development who can help guide NMU’s strategic direction.
