Thursday, October 9:
Welcome Party for NMU Alumni & Friends
Blackrocks Brewery, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Kick off the weekend with a casual gathering at Blackrocks Brewery, featuring members of the 1975 football team. This event is open to all NMU alumni and friends.
Friday, October 10:
1975 Football Team Lunch (open to members of the 1975 Football Team only)
Location TBD, 11:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
A pasty lunch where you can connect with teammates in a relaxing atmosphere.
Players Panel Featuring the 1975 Team & Players from Each Decade
Location TBD, 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.
A special panel discussion featuring players representing each decade of NMU football. Steve Mariucci will act as the moderator, guiding the conversation as players share stories and memories from their time on the field. This event will be open to current students and the public, offering an opportunity to celebrate NMU football’s legacy.
Current Football Team Practice
NMU Superior Dome, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
All former players are invited to watch and cheer on the current Wildcat football team at practice. Water and light snacks will be provided.
1975 Football Celebratory Dinner
Northern Center, 5:30 - 9:00 p.m.
Join us for a dinner program honoring the history of NMU football and celebrating the 1975 championship team. The program will highlight memories and accomplishments of the team, include an in-memoriam segment, and feature guest speakers and Bobbie Tuma as MC.
Saturday, October 11:
1975 Championship Game Viewing Party
Location TBD, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Relive the excitement of the 1975 championship game with a special one-time showing in color. Enjoy a back-to-back feature with Hand on the Line, a documentary highlighting the legacy of NMU football. Light snacks and water will be provided.
Tailgate Gathering
Behind the Superior Dome, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
A pre-game tailgate featuring tents, tables, and chairs. Guests can bring their own beverages (BYOB) or enjoy catered options (TBD).
Football Game: NMU vs. Grand Valley
NMU Superior Dome, 7:00 p.m.
Celebrate NMU football alumni with a special halftime recognition, honoring the 1975 football players on the field.

Give to the Buck Nystrom Fund
The Coach Buck Nystrom Fund is an endowed program fund established to provide a reliable, long-term financial resource to support Northern Michigan University’s Men's Football team. Coach Buck Nystrom, a legendary coach and NMU icon, embodied the strength and vitality of both the university and the region, guiding Wildcat Football to its championship season in 1975. Contributions to this fund pay tribute to Coach Buck's lasting legacy while enhancing the football program’s foundation, supporting the success of student-athletes both on and off the field.
