The School of Health and Human Performance offers a CAATE accredited master of science degree in athletic training. The athletic training master’s degree will be offered through a 3 + 2 program that will award the student a bachelor of science (in sports science) degree and a master of science in Athletic Training when completed. The athletic training master's degree is also offered as a "stand-alone" program that is available for students who have already completed an undergraduate degree in a related field.
The NMU exercise science master's degree is intended for students with undergraduate backgrounds in athletic training, biological sciences, dietetics, health, nursing, physical education, physiology, physical therapy and sport/exercise science. The primary objective of this program is to provide the student with a working knowledge in the physiological and biomechanical aspects of human movement and exertion.
Administration of Outdoor Recreation & Nature Based Tourism
The Administration of Outdoor Recreation and Nature-Based Tourism (AORNBT) Master's degree program is for a wide range of people who would like to work at an administrative level in the field of recreation, outdoor recreation, and nature-based tourism. Offered online with 2 summer seminar sessions - this degree program is built for flexibility.
