APRIL IS APPRECIATION MONTH
Northern's recognition program aims to provide meaningful and engaging activities and events for faculty and staff. This year three events will take place in April to recognize all the great work and wonderful employees that are here at NMU.
Rescheduled for April 22: Employee Appreciation Day
Stop by the our tables to take a moment to grab a cup of coffee or tea and a snack while you connect with fellow faculty and staff. Everyone who stops by will also get an appreciation gift. Enter for raffle prizes in each location.

April 8: Faculty & Staff Celebration
Join us in honoring NMU employees who have achieved a years of service milestone, congratulate recent retirees, and celebrate the Excellence-in-Service, Distinguished Team and Innovation award recipients. The program starts at 3:00 p.m. in the Northern Center Ballrooms and a reception with heavy hors d'oeuvres will immediately follow. All employees are invited to attend this free event.
April 8: Last Lecture
The Last Lecture serves to recognize retiring faculty/academic department heads. Join Dr. Neil Cumberlidge as he presents "Pincer movement - A shell-shocked sideways look at a crabby career at NMU" after the Faculty and Staff Recognition Celebration in Peninsula II of the Northern Center at 5:00pm. on Monday, April 8.
April 17: Retiree Breakfast
In addition, we will host a separate Retiree Breakfast on April 17 for recent retirees, their guests and department heads. Retirees will receive certificates of appreciation and a gift at this event. Invitation letters are sent to each honoree.
