Graduate Assistant - Office of Institutional Effectiveness

COMPENSATION: $11,461 per year/17.90/hr 20 hours/week plus tuition benefits (details to be specified); 2-year contract beginning Fall of 2025

BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY: The Graduate Assistant for Institutional Effectiveness supports the implementation of the university's strategic plan and institutional accreditation reporting processes.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning Support (50%)

  • Support Strategy Leads to develop, refine, and adapt Our Compass action plans as implementation progresses.
  • Analyze metrics and outcomes to inform continuous improvement of tactics and strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen the strategic planning system based on implementation activities and learnings.
  • Help translate broad strategic goals into specific, actionable steps with measurable outcomes.
  • Support activities that deepen campus-wide understanding and ownership of strategic priorities.
  • Document evolving implementation stories and gather evidence of the plan's transformative impact.
  • Help connect strategic planning efforts across different university units and initiatives.

Institutional Accreditation Report Support (50%)

  • Assist faculty authors in organization of evidence documents by helping develop and maintain a complex document management system.
  • Produce and coordinate unique cover sheets for incoming evidence documents that include key details for information retrieval.
  • Communicate with faculty authors to meet their needs as they emerge.
  • Support activities that deepen campus-wide understanding of accreditation standards.
  • Help connect accreditation standards with campus activities across different university units.
  • Help with event planning for campus activities designed to help constituents connect their work to accreditation standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Current graduate student in good standing with understanding of and/or studying organizational change and strategic implementation.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to see connections between strategy and day-to-day actions.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellence in translating complex strategic concepts into clear, compelling communications.
  • Proficiency with design tools and web content management.
