NCLL OFFERS NATIVE AMERICAN CUISINE

             The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will sponsor an ethnic dinner featuring traditional Native American cuisine with a contemporary twist on Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Northern Michigan University Jacobetti Center.

            The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a tasting buffet of conch, duck and wild rice cakes. Dinner at 6:30 p.m. will feature buffalo stew and watercress salad, followed by the dessert selection of Lakota plum cakes. Each participant will receive a recipe booklet of the evening’s foods and other Native American dishes.

            The registration deadline is Tuesday, Feb. 3. The cost is $26 for NCLL members and $31 for nonmembers.
