CRUISIN’ TO ALASKA

Monday 2, 2009

The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will sponsor a digital presentation on cruising through Alaska. The event will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, in room 101-B of the Superior Dome.

Presenters Susan Hewitt and Sandy Knoebel took a fall ocean cruise from Seattle to Alaska. They will show ports they visited such as Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan and Victoria in British Columbia. They will also point out the appearance of glaciers they saw and give some highlights of whale watching.

This travelogue is intended to provide an overview of Alaskan geography and some pros or cons of taking a cruise.

The cost is $4 for NCLL members and $7 for nonmembers. Register by the Monday, March 9, deadline by contacting Paula McCormick at 228-5489.
