"NCLL EXPLORES ALASKA BY AIR, WATER, COACH AND RAIL"

MARQUETTE, Mich.−The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will be sponsoring a program by one couple who chose to travel Alaska taking four different modes of transportation.
Presented by world traveler and researcher, Carol Margrif, this program will go over mixing land stops with cruising the inside passage from Juneau to Ketchikan on a 52-passenger ship. The slide presentation will include the University of Alaska at Fairbanks’ musk ox and reindeer research farm, a morning paddle-wheel curise along the Tanana and Chena Rivers, a Denali railroad and National Park tour of wildlife, Anchorage, Juneau and Ketchikan sights, glaciers calving icebergs, and whale watching. Athabascan and Tlingit cultures will be highlighted and items displayed.
This will be taking place on Tuesday, Mar. 17, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the Superior Dome’s room 101-B. There is a $4 fee for member and a $7 one for nonmembers. The registration deadline is Friday, Mar. 13.
