MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer a hike to the highest point in Michigan, Mt. Arvon, on Tuesday, June 16.

            Wilderness guide and enthusiast Al Reynolds will lead participants on the quarter-mile trek to the top for a view that includes Huron Bay, Point Abbaye and Lake Superior. Other stops include Big Erick’s Falls, the mouth of the Huron River for a view of the Huron Islands and as many waterfalls as time permits.

            The event runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for those meeting at the Berry Events Center in Marquette, or 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for those nearest Pamida in Ishpeming. Cost is $4 for NCLL members and $7 for nonmembers, with contributions for gas.
