The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will sponsor a tour of Lakenenland sculpture park from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20. The rain date is Tuesday, Aug. 25.

            Participants will walk through the woods and view 60-70 original metal-art sculptures created by welder Tom Lakenen. The figures are colorful, humorous and zany. Several make statements about issues of our time. Snacks will be provided after the tour. The cost of the program is a donation to the park.

            Lakenenland is located 10 miles east of Harvey on M-28. Advance registration is requested by Monday, Aug. 17. Please contact Carol Margrif at 249-9975.
