Northern Michigan University’s Forest Roberts Theatre has revised the production dates for the musical “Rent” because of contractual and scheduling issues.

            The show will open on Tuesday, Feb. 16 and run through Saturday, Feb. 20. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m., with the addition of a 1 p.m. matinee on Feb. 20. 

Some of the early promotional materials and posters for the 2009-10 Forest Roberts Theatre season indicated a two-week run for “Rent,” but the Feb. 10-13 performances have been canceled. An additional performance was incorporated into the following week so that Tuesday, Feb. 16, will serve as opening night instead of the traditional Wednesday opening.
