'NOBEL PRIZE IN LIVING' PRESENTATION AT NMU

      MARQUETTE, Mich.—A free presentation titled “Our Nobel Prize in Living” will be given by Peter Chen as part of the International Visiting Scholar Series at Northern Michigan University. His talk is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, in Mead Auditorium. The public is invited.

      Chen’s experience as a teacher of leadership, coaching methodology, pedagogy and philosophical perspectives spans over 50 years in the East and West. Along with teaching, Chen is a published author, winner of various awards and is active in national and international bodies. His presentation will highlight developmental skills to make individuals well-rounded as human beings. It will stress the importance of connections with other people and a desire to leave the world a better place.

      This presentation is co-sponsored by the NMU department of health, physical education and recreation, the provost’s office and the office of international programs.
