NCLL SPONSORS SLED DOG PROGRAM

MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will sponsor a presentation on Dr. Tim Hunt’s experiences as both the local veterinarian at the U.P. 200 Sled Dog Races and as a competitor in the 1,049-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race in Alaska. It is scheduled from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, in room 101B of the Superior Dome.
Hunt achieved 52nd place as a rookie musher in the Iditarod last season and was also awarded the Wells Fargo Red Lantern Award. His presentation will include a slide show while he narrates his experiences. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
There is a $4 fee for NCLL members and $7 for nonmembers. Register by Monday, Oct. 12, by calling Paula McCormick at 228-5489.
