NMU HOLDS PASSPORT DAY

MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University will hold a Passport Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, in the lower level of the Learning Resources Center. The event will allow individuals to apply for either a passport book, which can be used for all travel destinations, or a passport card for travel to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Individuals can complete an online wizard application in advance at www.travel.state.gov, but should not sign it until they are in the presence of a passport agent. They should bring the application, along with a valid photo ID (driver’s license, military ID or previous passport), a certified birth certificate or proof of citizenship and two separate checks or money orders. One should be made out to Peter White Public Library for $25 and the other made out to the Department of the State for either $20 if purchasing a card or $75 for the passport book.
Marquette Wallpaper and Paint will be available to take passport photos for $10 payable by cash, check or money order.
