LAKE EFFECT SHOW CHOIR PERFORMS

Monday 30, 2009
MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University's Lake Effect Show Choir will present a concert titled "Sing, Dance and Celebrate the Season" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, in Reynolds Recital Hall. The public is invited to attend free of charge.

Lake Effect is under the direction of Sharon Green. The show will mix familiar music sung by the choir with choreographed dance and instrumental accompaniment. There will be some holiday tunes, such as “It’s Beginning to Look Like Christmas," “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “Frosty the Snowman."  Non-holiday music will feature such titles as “Dancing in the Street," “Celebration” and “We Belong,” made famous by Pat Benatar.

Members of the group will perform holiday solos. There will also be a cappella performances of “The Christmas Song" and others.
