COMEDIAN BURNSTICK PERFORMS AT NMU

MARQUETTE, Mich.— Comedian Don Burnstick will perform his adult comedy show at 7 p.m. Friday, March 12, in Vandament Arena at Northern Michigan University. Admission is free for NMU students and $5 for non-students.
Burnstick is a Cree from the Alexander First Nation near Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. His younger years were violent and spent as an alcoholic and drug addict. After sobering up in 1985, he obtained post-secondary training at the University of San Diego in holistic youth development and holds certification as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor. He has been involved with the healing/personal wellness movement for the past 20 years and has utilized humor and performance to provide a holistic approach to healing.
The Native American Student Association at NMU is sponsoring the event.
