INTERNATIONAL FOOD FEST AT NMU

          MARQUETTE, Mich.—The International Food Fest at Northern Michigan University will offer a rare opportunity to sample cuisine from more than 20 countries. It is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 21, in the Jacobetti Center.  

            The NMU All Nations Club and international programs office are co-hosting the event to raise awareness of the cultural diversity that exists on campus. Menu items include African-style grilled tilapia, curried chicken and potatoes from Trinidad and the West Indies, chicken biryani from India, shish kebabs from Turkey and tom kha from Thailand. There will also be international music and dancers.

            Tickets can be purchased in advance from NMU’s international programs office in 145A Whitman Hall. A limited number will be available at the door. The cost is $5 for NMU students and $9 for non-students.  For more information, call 227-2510.
