'WAITING ON A TRAIN' PRESENTATION

Friday 2, 2010
MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present “Waiting on a Train” at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 15, in Northern Michigan University’s Superior Dome room 101-B.

NMU professor James McCommons will discuss his non-fiction book, “Waiting on a Train: The Embattled Future of Passenger Rail Service.” He will address the research he gathered about the decline of railroad use in the United States, despite the fact this form of transportation made modern life and mobility possible.

This class costs $4 for NCLL members and $7 for non-members. The registration deadline is Tuesday, April 13. Contact Don Balmer at 249-1273.
