NCLL TOURS NMU ART FACILITIES

MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will tour Northern Michigan University’s Art and Design building and DeVos Art Museum at 10 a.m. Friday, April 16.
Participants will meet in the DeVos parking lot, and then participate in a guided tour given by NMU professor Jane Milkie and director/curator of the DeVos, Melissa Matuscak. This will be a tour of the various classrooms and studios within the building to observe the current equipment used in classes, such as the dark room and photography lab and the “green screen” room. Later, participants will have a chance to view the current exhibits in the DeVos, including the senior art exhibition and the Mostly Michigan photography exhibit.
This tour will cost $4 for NCLL members and $7 for non-members. The registration deadline is Wednesday, April 14. Contact Jim Matteson at 228-4165.
