‘A DINNER IN WONDERLAND’ FUNDRAISER

MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University’s hospitality management program will hold a scholarship fundraiser dinner, titled “Dinner in Wonderland” Friday, April 16 at the Jacobetti Center.
The theme of the evening is Alice in Wonderland, with long tea-party tables and characters like Alice and the White Rabbit on hand. The menu will feature wild mushroom crostini, turtle soup, beet carpaccio salad, red-wine braised rabbit with fiddlehead ferns and sage polenta and merry, merry un-birthday cake.
The reception begins at 6:30 p.m. with dinner served at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $100 per person and can be purchased through the NMU Foundation office at 227-2627. A portion of the cost is tax deductible. Proceeds from the event go to support the hospitality management program.
