NCLL PRESENTS MODERN BLACKSMITH CLASS

MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will host a class titled “Short History/Overview of the Modern Blacksmith” on Wednesday, May 19.
Bud Williams, blacksmith and NCLL member, will give a 1 p.m. demonstration on the skills and tools a blacksmith would use in the building of a house or community before the modern convenience of the hardware store.
Participants will meet at the Berry Events Center east parking lot at 12:30 p.m. to carpool to Williams’ home. The cost is $4 for members and $7 for nonmembers. Register by Monday, May 17, by callingCliff Stammer at 228-9897.
