NMU STUDENTS COMMISSIONED

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Wildcat Battalion of Northern Michigan University recently commissioned four NMU graduates as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army All-Volunteer Force.

            Daniel Reinke, a criminal justice major from Marquette, was commissioned as an army engineer officer for the U.S. Army Reserve. Reinke will train at Fort Leonard-Wood, Mo., before reporting to his reserve unit in Arden Hills, Minn. 

            John Pfiester, a criminal justice major from Rapid River, was commissioned as a second lieutenant for the infantry of the U.S. Army. After first attending Infantry Officer Basic School, he will be stationed at Fort Drum, N.Y.

            Bryan Upham, a public administration major from Jackson, was commissioned as a signal corps officer in the U.S. Army. After attending his Signal Officer Basic Course at Fort Gordon, Ga., he will continue to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.

            Michaela Stahlmann, a nursing major from Marquette, was commissioned to second lieutenant of the nursing corps of the U.S. Army. Stahlmann, a distinguished military graduate, will report for training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, before going to her first duty station at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.
