NCLL TROLLEY TOUR AUG. 18

MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will hold a class called “Trolley Among Our Native Trees” at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, along Marquette’s Lower Harbor.
Participants will meet near the playground of Lower Harbor and participate in a guided tour given by Al Saberniak, consultant for the US Forest Service. He will identify and discuss characteristics of native trees and plants. The tour will proceed along Presque Isle, the Holy Cross Cemetery and Park Cemetery.
This tour is free for members and will cost $5 for non-members. Participants should also bring $1 for trolley fare. The registration deadline is Monday, Aug. 16. To register, contact class liaison Paula McCormick at 228-5489.
