NCLL TOURS WESTERN U.P. LANDMARKS

MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will host a tour called “Western U.P. Landmarks, Waterfalls and Color” on Thursday, Sept. 30.
Participants will meet at one of three carpool locations: the Berry Events Center at 7:45 a.m.; Negaunee Border Grill at 8:05 a.m.; and Ishpeming Jubilee at 8:15 a.m. The tour to the Ironwood area will include stops at the Ironwood Theatre, Jacquarts Fabric Products, Bond and Agate Falls, the Peter Toth Indianhead wooden carving and Treats 1950s Ice Cream Parlor and Soda Fountain. Lunch will be Dutch treat off of the Elk and Hound Restaurant’s menu.
The cost is $40 for NCLL members and $45 for non-members. Register by Sept. 23 by calling Jim Matteson at 228-4165.
