NMU PROF DISCUSSES ETHICAL ANIMAL RESEARCH

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—Adam Prus, a Northern Michigan University psychology professor, will present “Regulating the Ethical Conduct of Animal Research” as part of the Psychology Colloquium Series. His talk is scheduled at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, in Gries Hall, room 167. It is free and open to the public.

            Prus will address various policies and regulations that provide the framework for the humane use of animals for laboratory research and teaching purposes. The presentation will include a brief history of animal research practices, as well as an overview of policies and procedures adopted by NMU.
