NMU LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED

MARQUETTE, Mich.—Ten Northern Michigan University freshmen recently received 2010 Leadership Scholarships worth $2,000 per year for the next four years.
The awards are given annually to incoming students through a selection process that includes a campus interview, written essays and group activities. To be eligible, students must have achieved a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 and demonstrated leadership-related involvement in their schools and communities. The winners and their hometowns are:
Michigan
Alanson: Mackenzie Myers; Ann Arbor: Tyler Walls; Grand Rapids: Elizabeth Sabin; Harbor Springs: Andrea Shepherd; Saginaw: James Wallace; Sheridan: Alice Snively; Wixom: Rachel Storck;
Illinois
Cary: Christian Weber; Sleepy Hollow: Daniel Weber;
Wisconsin
Eau Claire: Spencer Tollefson.
