ANIMAL PLANET'S JEFF CORWIN COMING TO NMU

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—Animal Planet host Jeff Corwin will give a presentation complete with live animals and reptiles at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, in Northern Michigan University’s Vandament Arena.

            Corwin has been on many TV shows including The Jeff Corwin Experience, Realm of the Yeti, Jeff Corwin Unleashed, Corwin’s Quest, Disney’s Going Wild with Jeff Corwin and Investigation Earth. He also co-hosted and co-created Planet in Peril with Anderson Cooper. His newest series, Extreme Cuisine with Jeff Corwin, focuses on renewable living. His shows have aired in 120 countries worldwide. Corwin has also written books Living on the Edge: Amazing Relationships in the Natural World and young reader books The Jeff Corwin Junior Explorer Series.

           
 Corwin was named Ambassador of Climate Change and Endangered Species on behalf of the Defenders of Wildlife, one of the United States‘ most prominent conservation organizations. He has bachelor‘s degrees in both biology and anthropology from Bridgewater State College, a master‘s in wildlife and fisheries conservation from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and an honorary doctorate in public education from Bridgewater State College.         

Tickets are avaliable in advance from all NMU Ticket Outlets. Prices are $1 for NMU students with an ID, $3 for 18 and under and $5 for the general public.
