NMU ANNOUNCES BUSINESS VENTURE COMPETITION

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University’s 4th Annual New Business Venture Competition is accepting intent to compete forms and business proposals until 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18. All NMU students, regardless of major, are welcome to participate for the opportunity to share $9,000 in prize money.

Students can work individually or in a team of up to five members. Their plans must show potential for a legal business to be profitable and create jobs. Authors of successful submissions will be invited to submit a complete business plan and present their ideas on competition day in April.

The prizes are $4,000 for first, $2,500 for second and $1,500 for third. Best elevator pitch and best trade fair presentation will each receive $500.
