POLLINATOR PROJECT VIDEO SCREENING OFFERED

Wednesday 24, 2010
MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Michigan University Center for Native American Studies will host a free viewing of video vignettes from the Zaagkii (Wings and Seeds) project at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, at the Marquette Commons.

The project was designed to protect insect and animal pollinators, which are at risk of losing their natural habitats and food supplies, and to propagate native plants and restore healthy habitats. It was a collaboration involving the U.S. Forest Service, Cedar Tree Institute, NMU Center for Native American Studies and the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community.

The viewing will also be a potluck gathering, so attendees are encouraged to bring a small dish to share. For more information, contact the NMU Center for Native American Studies at 227-1397.
